Full-mouth dental implants are also called all-on-4 dental implants, denture implants, or permanent dentures. Full-mouth dental implants replace an entire row or both rows of teeth. Four to eight dental implants are placed below the gum line depending on your overall oral health, gums, and bone density. Once healed, an entire row of permanent teeth is attached to the implants. Are Full-Mouth Dental Implants Painful?
At Warwick Dental, IV sedation is used during your procedure so you’re relaxed and feel no pain. It’s also common that you’ll have little to no memory of the procedure. After the procedure and once the numbness is gone, you may experience some discomfort and soreness. You may experience some aches and pain during the first week following the surgery, but we will prescribe medication to help you manage any pain.
